THE TEAM / Sandi Frischmuth, MA, LPC, NCC

My passion for helping others work through conflict to strengthen their relationships started at a young age when I volunteered to become a student mediator with the support of my school counselor when I was only 12 years old. I participated in my own counseling experience after my parents’ divorce and since then have worked towards making my innate passion a career.

As an undergraduate, I studied psychology with a focus on family and child development and went on to earn my master’s in professional counseling with a focus on marriage, couples, and family. I believe strongly that we take what we have learned and experienced in relationships with our parents and caregivers into our relationships as adults. I work with clients through an attachment lens as well as a solution focused lens to both mend early childhood wounds and focus on what we can do in the present to support your healing journey and improve your current relationships. I have experience working with adults and children dealing with family conflict, divorce, and loss of a loved one.

The therapeutic relationship can be a foundation for healing relationships that are hurting us or have hurt us in the past. I am an LPC and NCC with training in play therapy and sand tray work. I have worked with many parents who want to be the best versions of themselves for their kiddos and I have also worked with individuals, couples, and children who have experienced the heavy toll that substance abuse disorders and domestic violence can have on a family. Whether you are facing depression, anxiety, grief, or all the above due to challenges you are facing in current or past relationships; I would be honored to support you in finding a happier and more fulfilling relationship with yourself and others. Change is possible, even in the moments we feel the most hopeless.
