State Board of Texas, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Counselor Certified (NCC), advanced training in Clinical Mental Health CACREP Accredited. Trained and experienced in multiple assessment and treatment modalities. Modalities used in my sessions in order of precedence/experience are Trauma-Informed EMDR (flash/play therapy), Grief Counseling, Trauma Focused CBT, CBT, Child/Client Centered Play, and Sand Tray Therapy. The primary age group I work with is 9-55. My experience and training focus has been primarily, rape, crisis, trauma, bereavement, ADHD, anxiety, depression, stress/anger management, sleep disorders, and various other mental health disorders. I am passionate about working with any client who struggles and is committed to doing the work required to make their circumstances more manageable, and that may require a more long-term commitment to the therapeutic process. I strive to help educate clients in learning about their diagnosis when applicable and teach various evidence-based strategies that may help them to manage their concerns provided they do the work in between sessions. Together we walk the journey of navigating your experiences, traumatizing situations, difficult diagnoses, and/or life-changing events by evaluating each person’s unique story, family history, strengths, and weaknesses to get a more accurate understanding of what your needs are. We develop a personalized approach to treatment based on client needs and goals. I am dedicated to integrating an authentic wellness approach that feels achievable and realistic, welcoming, safe, non-judgmental, and within my scope of training.
